Singapore Law Academy
Ms Serene Wee joined Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) in 1993. Over the years, Serene took on an expanded role in SAL in overseeing the changes in the Academy as the institution responded to changes in the Singapore legal landscape. Today, she serves as Chief Executive of SAL, reporting to the President of the Academy and accountable to the Senate and Executive Board for the SAL’s responsibilities in delivering the SAL Group vision through five clusters of work. She serves on the board of directors of three subsidiaries of SAL and as a mediator on the principal panel of the Singapore Mediation Centre.

She is also involved in the health sector, serving on the Complaints Panel of the Singapore Medical Council as lay person since 2006. She was on the board of Health Sciences Authority, where she held responsibilities in the audit committee (2009 – 2013) and the executive committee (2013 – 2017).
Serene was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Silver) in 2007 and Public Administration
Medal (Gold) in 2019.
