Event Name: |
ACTRIS Cell Therapy Lecture Series: CAR-T Translational Opportunities in Paediatric Cancers |
Date: |
29 April 2021
|
Time: |
12 noon to 1pm
|
Synopsis: |
Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy has changed the paradigm for the treatment of relapsed or refractory paediatric cancers for patients who have otherwise exhausted all treatment options.
However, the rapid translational success of cell therapy in B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and lymphomas is not met with the same speed of translation in other paediatric cancers. This talk will present an overview of the current successes and challenges of CAR-T treatment in paediatric cancers, including and beyond B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, and discuss where the unmet needs are for potential translational effects. |
